With innovative wands, formulas and designs, it looks like fall 2014 is the season of mascara. Read on to discover the ten breakouts, from drugstore to high end to some new brands you may not know yet, but definitely should!

This season, all of your favorite brands are stepping out of the box with innovative mascara stems. One of the most talked about brushes is the swan-neck design of Lancome’s Grandiose. The arched stem was inspired by the makeup artist technique of bending mascara stems to get every single lash. This ingenious product does it all: lifts, lengthens and volumizes.

Urban Decay’s new Perversion Mascara comes with a bottle of Subversion Primer, creating voluminous lashes that are the blackest of black. What makes this duo so great? Check out our Primer 101 post to discover the benefits of lash primer.

Josie Maran has given us argan oil for our hair, nails, skin…so when we discovered her argan-infused Argan Black Oil Mascara, our first thought was, “what took so long?!” Blending pure argan oil with black iron mineral pigments, this natural mascara coats, lengthens, volumizes, lifts and curls for eyes that demand attention.

Stila’s Mile High Mascara is part of their newly redesigned fall collection, which is decidedly more luxe than the Stila we all know and love. This volumizing mascara features tiny bristles which grab hold of every lash to maximize length, lift and volume.

The weightless formula of Estée Lauder’s Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara coats and lifts lashes to create a bold, dramatic look. The lash-thickening product can make even the sparsest of lashes look lush and fluffy.

Thanks to the overwhelmingly positive response, L’Oreal has rereleased their Voluminous Butterfly Mascara for fall, with a few improved tweaks! The unique butterfly brush remains intact, but the new formula is blacker than ever, with a shiny finish.

One of the standout products from Charlotte Tilbury’s new line is Full Fat Lashes…and it’s safe to say that the name pretty much says it all. The 5-in-1 formula curls, separates, volumes, lengthens and brings the drama!

The hourglass-shaped Maybelline Volum’ Express Pumped Up! brush is designed to grab more product without needing to pump the brush in and out, which can dry out the formula quickly. The collagen-infused mascara gives you gorgeous lashes with not one clump in sight.

Eddie Funkhouser’s unique Quattro Variable Lash Mascara won an award this year at the Package Design Awards for its innovative design. The FX Dial at the top of the cap allows the user to click through four settings, each more intense than the last. It’s like having 4 mascaras in one!

Rimmel London’s ScandalEyes Rockin’ Curve Mascara features a ‘broken-heart’ shaped brush that twists and curves to give you mega-amplified, dramatic lashes. At only $5.99, it’s one of our favorite beauty bargains of the season!

Tell us what mascaras you’re excited to try this fall on PAMPADOUR.com and in the comments below! For more on the product check out our Mascara Guide on the blog.
