DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY: SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVALS

Rap, rock, house. There seems to be a summer festival out there for almost every genre of music. We’ve rounded up the hottest events of the summer… Can you think of a better way to dance the night away?

Electric Daisy Carnival (June 21-23, Las Vegas): Lights. Raving. Glow in the dark. These are just some of the words that can describe this nonstop dance party. The hottest DJs in the world (including Tiesto, Afrojack and Zedd) will be spinning for the expected 345,000 attendees.

Essence Festival (July 4-7, New Orleans): The biggest names in R&B and hip-hop will be getting together over the Fourth of July weekend in New Orleans. Headlined by the one and only Beyonce, this is one of the most buzzed about festivals of the summer.

Lollapalooza (August 2-4, Chicago): Since its start in 1991, Lollapalooza has been a festival staple. It is the go-to destination for rock fans, and this year’s incredible lineup makes it obvious why. Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Mumford & Sons and The Killers are just some of the acts scheduled to appear.

Electric Zoo (August 30-September 1, New York City): The East Coast’s major rave. For their fifth anniversary, Electric Zoo is doing it big with acts like Armin Van Buuren, Avicii and Steve Aoki. Expect loud music, laser shows and lots of neon.

Made in America (August 31-September 1, Philadelphia): The second-annual Budweiser Made in America festival is the place to be on Labor Day weekend. Curated by none other than Jay Z, this fest features artists from all genres including Beyonce, Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa and Calvin Harris.
