The Girls x Deborah Lippmann collaboration got us thinking about what other popular TV shows have used beauty lines as marketing tools. Turns out, a lot. From Glee to Modern Family, some of television’s most beloved shows have launched lipsticks and nail polishes for their fans.

Mad Men – If any show should inspire a makeup collection, Mad Men is it. Sexy, retro and glam, the ‘60s-set show has the best hair and makeup on TV, no question. Estee Lauder launched its first Mad Men collection last March, which consisted of a red lipstick called “Cherry” and “Evening Rose,” a pink cream blush. The line was so successful that the brand just launched its second Mad Men-inspired collection. Consisting of a light pink blush in a beautiful gold Pucci-esque compact, a creamy lipstick entitled “Pinkadelic” and a demure baby pink nail polish, this new collection is definitely more Betty than Joan.

Modern Family – Confused? So are we. Nicole by OPI launched a nail polish collection inspired by the comedy in January. The line is comprised of 14 polishes named after each character. Sofia Vergara is an understandable beauty inspiration, but Ed O’Neill?! Don’t think that shade will be quite as popular…

Glee – This bright and fun Sephora by OPI nail polish collection perfectly embodies the spirit of Glee. Cute and clever names, like Gleek Out and Slushied, are inspired by components of the show. The colors include lime green, bright blue and hot pink… very high school, very Glee.

True Blood – Here’s a show that could definitely translate to a cosmetics line. The vampire-themed series inspired Tarte Cosmetics to launch a limited edition makeup collection. The 3-piece set included a lip tint, cheek stain and a palette consisting of seventeen eye shadows. Perfect for creating a vampy, dark look. Following the success of the Tarte collection, HSN launched Forsaken, a line consisting of True Blood-themed perfumes, creams and candles. Deborah Lippmann, lover of collaborations, also released True Blood nail polish and lipstick.

Real Housewives – It seems like the rapid success of Bethenny Frankel’s empire has inspired every Bravo star to branch out with a side business. From Atlanta‘s Cynthia Bailey’s Hair Couture extensions line to Orange County‘s Gretchen Rossi’s cosmetics collection, these Housewives are trying to make the most of their fifteen minutes of fame. Tru Renewal is New York City‘s Ramona Singer’s skincare company. Kim Zolciak is even preparing to launch a line of wigs soon. Who says you have to be a Housewife to join in on the action? Shahs of Sunset‘s GG very publicly prepared for the launch of her hair extensions brand on this past season.
