Makeup addicts know that once the seasons start changing, it means one thing…holiday beauty sets are coming. It’s not even October yet, and some of the best brands have released jaw-dropping palettes that will make your heart beat extra fast. There’s definitely more to come in the upcoming months, but keep reading for some of the best sets we’ve spotted so far!
Tarte Light Of The Party Collector’s Makeup Case: Holiday sets tend to be more extravagant than brands’ other releases: there’s a lot of product for a great value. This Tarte set is no exception. The sequined case features THIRTY eye shadows (in wearable mattes and shimmers), blush, bronzer, highlighter, mascara and a double-ended shadow brush. The shadow shades are great for either day and night. This set will be a neutral lover’s dream. ($59)
Tarte Bling It On Amazonian Clay Blush Palette: Tarte has the holiday beauty game down, so I couldn’t resist including another one of their sets. Their best product is arguably their unbeatable, long-lasting Amazonian Clay blush, so what could be better than this gorgeous collection of five different full-size blushes in one chic and convenient case. Perfect for traveling. ($44)
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit: The second this highly-anticipated palette was made available on Sephora, I added it to my cart. It’s definitely a splurge, but oh-so-worth-it. Isn’t the holidays the perfect time to treat yourself?! The sleek palette opens up to reveal a stunning collection of six different powders, blushes, highlighters and bronzer. Many of the shades are re-releases of best-selling shades, but there’s one new Strobe Lighting Powder, a highlight that’s very on-trend after strobing took the beauty world by storm this past summer. If you’re looking for an intense highlight, you would probably be better off with something from Becca or theBalm. The Hourglass Ambient Powders give off a subdued, natural glow; each shade illuminates and lifts up your face in a subtle way. ($80)
LORAC Mega PRO 2 Palette: We’ve discussed this gigantic palette in much more detail in another blog post which you can check out HERE. A quick summary: after the major success of last year’s Mega PRO Palette, LORAC is bringing it back with fresh new matte and shimmery shades. The possibilities are endless. There are so many different looks you can create! ($59 – will be released on October 4th exclusively at Ulta stores and ULTA.com!)
Smashbox ART. LOVE. COLOR. Master Class: Smashbox’s latest version of the Master Class palette seems like it could be the best one yet. Designed by artist Yago Hortal, the palette itself is just beautiful. The pans look huge, and it includes 32 shadows, six blushes and two highlighters, all for $65. I have the previous Master Class palette, and it’s one of my holy grail products. So incredible. I have very high hopes for this. ($65)
Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Eyeshadow Palette: This colorful palette is out of stock on Sephora, but it’s too good not to share…plus, they will hopefully restock soon. The palette features a rainbow of shades, 24 in total, that will definitely command attention. Highly pigmented and vivid, this is a perfect gift for the girl who likes to take bold beauty risks. ($59)
Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No. 20 – Plush Eyeshadow: When I think of Marc Jacobs Beauty, one word comes to mind: luxurious. Their entire line, from the liners to the shadows to the lippies, are of the highest quality and the packaging is always so modern and elegant. This 20-shade palette includes mattes, metallics and sheens in varying neutral and purple shades. There are so many fun combos you can create with this set, for both day and night. ($99)
Anastasia Lustrous Lip Gloss Set: Have enough shadow palettes to last you a lifetime? Consider this lip gloss set by Anastasia Beverly Hills. It features eight of the brand’s best-selling shades of lip gloss. If you haven’t had the chance to try them yet, know that these glosses are amazing. Not sticky, opaque color, interesting range of shades, long-lasting…everything you could possibly want. The hues featured in this collection are incredibly versatile: nudes, pinks, reds, plum…even a gold! ($40)
Urban Decay UD Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette: Urban Decay has teamed up with the ultimate Queen of Cool, Gwen Stefani, for a gorgeous, glamorous holiday palette. The UD Gwen Palette features fifteen shadows in varying finishes – matte, satin, shimmer and pearl – that are inspired by the legendary singer. The neutral and jewel-toned shades have classic, Gwen-inspired names like Harajuku and Bathwater. You can get this set from Sephora beginning December 1st! ($58)
