NYFW ROUNDUP: SPRING 2015 BEAUTY TRENDS

Fashion Week doesn’t only set up the next season’s sartorial trends…it also forecasts the hair and makeup looks we’ll be sporting come spring. Pampadour’s team was lucky enough to attend some of NYFW’s most noteworthy shows (from Carolina Herrera to Richard Chai to Naeem Khan) and we’re bringing you exclusive pics of the hottest looks! Check it out below.

One of the season’s most talked about trends – bright orange and red lips – was spotted backstage at Richard ChaiMAC’s Lipmix in Orange was used to achieve the bold look.

We spotted Kimora Lee Simmons filming a fashion segment for E! and her eyeshadow game was on point. Love the seamless blending of that dramatic smoky eye.

Big hair. Full lashes. Pink lips. Definitely on board with the bombshell look models rocked at the Jay Godfrey presentation.

One of our favorite Fashion Week moments? Spotting these too-cute-for-words mini-fashionistas at Jay Godfrey. Adorable!

Hair and makeup at Naeem Khan was kept classic and pretty. Sally Hershberger gave bouncy blowouts to models with longer hair and slicked back shorter hair. James Boehmer, for NARS, kept everything very minimal and clean, save for bright pink lips on some of the models.

We bumped into Nashville and American Horror Story actress Connie Britton backstage at Naeem Khan, and it’s worth noting that her hair looks like she just stepped out of a shampoo commercial. So thick, shiny and voluminous. We asked her what her secret was and she admitted she doesn’t do much — “good genetics!”

At Pamella Roland, models had their hair pulled back into sleek ponytails. The designer’s Spring 2015 collection was heavily influenced by her travels to Japan. Hairstylist Ted Gibson worked the theme into his hairstyles for the show. Laura Mercier was used for the classic makeup.

At BCBGVal Garland for MAC was all about that fresh-from-vacation glow. Using bronzer and blush, they wanted models to look sun-kissed. Orlando Pita used a flatiron to straighten hair and proceeded to finger comb it to give off that laid-back Cali girl vibe.

It is SO refreshing when the beauty look at a fashion show is creative and fun. Absolutely adored the retro, mod turquoise eyes and bright pink lips (courtesy of Stila Cosmetics) at Trina Turk’s presentation.

Major Mad Men vibes on the Carmen Marc Valvo runway. Sometimes all you need is a bold red lip to pull a look together.

Post-Carolina Herrera, everyone was talking about the incredible ‘sumo wrestler knots’ by Orlando Pita. The makeup, by Diane Kendal for MAC, focused on models’ lips. How striking is that pink lipstick?

At Francesca Liberatore, the makeup look was essentially, “why should blush be limited to your cheeks?!” It’s definitely an interesting look, but maybe one that’s better left on the runway…

Who says fly-aways are a bad thing?! Models at JCrew rocked artfully mussed up hair and stained lips. Quintessential JCrew downtown-girl cool.
