Team Pamp headed to The Makeup Show this past Sunday, and we had a blast! The show, hosted at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan, featured some of our favorite brands, exhibits and tutorials and lectures from the biggest pros in the business! Follow the jump for a look at our exciting day.
Had the amazing opportunity to sit in on a chat with makeup LEGEND, Charlotte Tilbury! During the talk, she announced that her beautiful line will be making it’s US debut in September – can’t wait!
There was a well-deserved exhibition dedicating to the life and career of incredibly talented, gone-far-too-soon makeup artist, Kevyn Aucoin. The pictures above display his personal makeup kit, his first magazine cover and some of his most insightful quotes.
The selection at NARS was any self-declared NARSissist’s dream! They had such a wide array of products, plus a look at the beautiful Adult Swim summer collection.
Think of Inglot – with its wide color and product selection – as sheer bliss for a makeup artist. And those wild, whimsical, colorful lashes?! Don’t even get us started… obsessed.
Stila consistently knocks our socks off with its unique gotta-have-them products. Pink liner… do you dare?!
It seems like The Makeup Show adours Pantone’s Color of the Year as much as we do – their favorite Radiant Orchid products were on display at the front of the convention!
Yes! Make Up For Ever blew us away with their selection of bold pigments, immense products and GLITTER. We couldn’t stay away – keep an eye on Pampadour to see what we purchased.
We got our hands on the super-popular, always-sold-out Contour Kit at the Anastasia booth. Woo hoo!
We finally got to try the Surratt line, and it actually exceeded our already-high expectations! From the pigmentation to the colors, this brand is just breathtaking. It’s obvious that the quality is extremely high – expect to see us pamping about Surratt a lot in the future!
Another line we were excited to get a peek at at the show was black|Up Cosmetics. The beauty brand is specifically targeted to women of color – we were told that there is a lot of red in their products to neutralize their skin tone, and the products have mattifying qualities to combat oily skin. Their selection was beautiful – we definitely recommend it!
We already featured the Kevyn Aucoin exhibit earlier in the post, but take a look at the exquisite Kevyn Aucoin Beauty line! We absolutely adour the extensive selection of lipsticks and makeup brushes shown here.
