Spring Beauty 2016: The New Products at the Top of Our Wish Lists!

spring 2016 beauty

New year, new beauty! All of your favorite brands have begun rolling out new products, and from the look of it, 2016 could be the most exciting year for beauty yet. Keep reading for ten products and collections, which have either just been released or are coming out soon, that we’ve added to our wish lists.

too faced

Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette: The ‘Peanut Butter’ shade from Too Faced’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette was such a hit that the brand decided to create this adorable mini-palette. The compact palette features 9 matte and shimmer shades that are inspired by classic PB&J. With warm browns that work for almost every skin tone, plus delectable pops of purple, this set is a standout. ($36, available February 28th at Too Faced and Ulta)

makeup geek contour

Makeup Geek Contour Powders: Just like their signature shadows, Makeup Geek’s new contour powders are silky smooth and easy to blend. Available in eight diverse shades (four with warm undertones, four with cool), there’s a perfect shade for everyone. The best part is you can purchase an individual pan in your shade; one of the most common beauty complaints is that you buy a contour palette and only use one or two of the shades in the set. ($10 for an individual pan, $65 for the entire collection)

mac

mac flamingo

MAC Flamingo Park: If you’re a pink lover, MAC’s latest collection is your dream come true. The extensive collection, MAC Flamingo Park , features eyeshadows, nail polishes, pigments, lipstick, lip pencils, glosses, blushes, powders and eyeliners…all in various shades of pink. It’s such a cheerful and fresh collection. The timing is also perfect – just in time for Valentine’s Day! (Available now online at MAC, Nordstrom and Macy’s. In-stores on February 4th)

nyx lip lingerie

NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick: NYX’s new Lip Lingerie line is nude lippie heaven. The range of liquid lipsticks features nearly every nude lip shade you could possibly think of, from light pinky-nudes to warm, deep browns. If the finish is anything like their Liquid Suede collection, these will be some of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks you’ve ever tried. ($6.99)

kat von d eye

Kat Von D Shade + Light Mini Palettes: Kat Von D’s Shade + Light Contour Eye Palette was a runaway success, with good reason. It’s so buttery and pigmented – easily one of the best palettes out there. The only criticism I’ve heard is that people don’t use all of the shades in the set – the palette is split into cool, neutral and warm tones, and many people tend to use only one type of tone when it comes to shadows. If that’s the case for you, you’re in luck! Kat Von D heard your requests and is releasing mini-palettes with four shadows in each set. These are ideal for traveling…personally can’t wait to get my hands of the Sage – check out that incredible forest green. (Release date TBD)

stila color correcting

Stila Correct & Perfect Palette: Stila’s latest palette combines powders and creams has all the tools for creating a flawless complexion in one compact set. The innovative palette contains peach, pink, green, yellow and orange creams…plus, lavender and yellow powders. If you have no idea what each shade does, don’t worry: the palette comes with a handy guide that outlines each tone’s function. (Available on February 15th at Sephora)

colourpop trust me

ColourPop Trust Me: ColourPop never ceases to amaze – they are constantly topping themselves and releasing phenomenal new products seemingly every week, yet they always stay true to their affordable price point that’s made them so beloved. Their latest exciting product? Trust Me, a true red Lippie Stix in a new finish: Matte X. Matte X is essentially a matte lipstick, but packed with emollients that keep your lips soft, silky and hydrated. Personally, I never found ColourPop’s matte Lippie Stix to be drying, so I’m curious to see how they’ve made it even more comfortable. Never change, ColourPop. ($5)

tarte rainforest of the sea

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lighting Palette: Tarte is releasing a highlighting palette! From the gorgeous packaging to the three beautiful shades and huge pans, this looks like a winner. The trio contains two shimmery highlighters (a champagne gold and a rosy pearl), plus a matte illuminator. From the swatches, you can see that the shimmer shades give off a major glow, while the matte one is more subtle. Love the different options – you can customize the intensity of your glow based on your makeup look that day. ($42, available online late February at Sephora and Tarte, in-stores in March)

ysl touche eclat neutralizers

YSL Touche Eclat Neutralizers: Nothing brightens up the under-eye area like YSL’s cult classic, Touche Eclat. Weightless and luminizing, it’s a beauty addict’s secret weapon to faking a good night’s sleep. For spring, YSL has added three new Neutralizers to the Touche Eclat range: Violet, Green and Bisque. Each one serves a distinct purpose. Use Green to conceal redness, Bisque to brighten up your complexion and cover dark circles and Violet to brighten up sallow, yellow skin. The compact pen packaging is great for traveling, and it allows you to have control over how much product you use. ($38)
