THE BEST WORKOUT IN THE CITY

The weather’s heating up and most people want to use this limited, precious time to get some outdoor workouts in. It’s time to put that SoulCycle craving on hold, take advantage of the fresh air and hop on a real bike.

It seems like suddenly everyone is getting on board with biking, and it’s clear to see why. Riding a bike is easy, affordable and, with those bike lanes popping up everywhere, more convenient than ever before. Pick up a cute vintage one (with bells and a basket, obviously) or a you-mean-business mountain bike…or, if you’re in NYC, take a spin on the new craze: Citi Bikes.

Bike sharing programs are growing in popularity at a rapid pace. Not only is it great for the environment, but it will help you get where you need to go faster during annoying rush hour traffic. Stop by any of the hundreds of stations, unlock a bike, ride for 30-45 minutes (depending on the pass you purchased) and re-dock when you’re finished. Give it a try.
